Summer Recap: A Season of Milestones and Thrilling Events

As the summer fades into the crisp embrace of the new season, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the incredible experiences and milestones our team had over the past few months. This summer was not just about hard work, but about contributing to the exciting world of sports and entertainment in a way that left us all inspired and energized for what’s to come.

Our June kicked off with a trip to Cardiff, where we had the privilege of building the Wales Netball Haro court for their netball team. The experience was rewarding not just because of the quality of work we put into the project, but because we got to witness the team in action on the very court we built. Their performance was nothing short of spectacular, showcasing their talent and determination.

This was especially exciting given the monumental announcement that Cardiff Dragons made it into the new era of the Netball Super League 2025. Being part of such a significant chapter in their history is an honour, and it filled us with pride to know that our work will be a part of their future successes.

England Netball’s Season Closer

The energy didn’t stop in Cardiff. We then had the opportunity to build England Netball’s Haro court for their Season Closer event. The atmosphere at the event was electric, with the nation’s top netball talent battling it out in what was a truly thrilling culmination of the season. The event was a perfect showcase of the sport’s growing popularity and the sheer skill of the athletes involved. It was also a testament to the importance of quality infrastructure, something we’re proud to contribute to.

Badminton Galore

We were back at Birmingham University, where our team had the pleasure of building the badminton courts for the Yonex All England Junior Championships 2024. This prestigious event is a cornerstone of the junior badminton calendar, and we take great pride in ensuring that the players have the best possible facilities to showcase their talents.

Exciting announcements

The biggest highlight was undoubtedly the announcement that the Invictus Games will be coming to our home turf, the NEC, in 2027. Being a part of such a monumental event is an honour in itself, but the fact that we were entrusted with building the demo pickleball court for this prestigious occasion made it even more special. It’s not every day that you get to contribute to something as impactful as the Invictus Games, and we couldn’t be prouder of our work. Looking forward to 2027!

We were also thrilled to announce our new role as Associated Supporters of the “The Power of Events” Schools Engagement Programme. This initiative is close to our hearts as it aligns perfectly with our mission to inspire and support the next generation. By being part of this programme, we’re helping to shape the future of our industry, providing students with valuable insights and opportunities that could spark their passion for events.

Entertainment Extravaganza

Our summer wasn’t just about sports, though. We also had the chance to be involved in some major live music events. Troye Sivan’s concert was a vibrant, energetic affair that captivated the audience, while the boxing event brought an entirely different kind of intensity to the arenas. And, of course, Justin Timberlake’s performance was a show-stopping highlight that had everyone on their feet.

Being part of the logistics and setup for these events gave us a behind-the-scenes look at how much effort goes into making these experiences memorable for fans. It was thrilling to contribute to events that brought so much joy and excitement to so many people.

Adding to the arenas’ exciting events, at the NEC Halls, our crew also played a role in the Van Gogh Immersive Experience. This incredible exhibition was a must-see attraction in Birmingham this summer, and our technical crew’s expertise helped bring it to life in a way that has captivated audiences. Being part of such a groundbreaking project was a fantastic experience for our team, and we were thrilled to see the positive reactions from visitors.
